About the founder
A scientist in the lab. A strategist in the boardroom.
Dr. Sowjanya Lakkoju is a food technologist with 13+ years of hands-on experience across product development, regulatory compliance, quality systems and commercialization. She founded FoodTechnologist.in to give food brands one partner who understands both the science of a formulation and the realities of taking it to market.
Her work spans FSSAI licensing and approvals, new product development from concept to pilot to scale-up, factory and process design, food safety audits, and label and claims compliance — for FMCG majors, dairy and beverage plants, spice exporters, startups and cloud kitchens.
Alongside consulting, she contributes to academic and applied research in food safety, preservation and processing — a combination that lets clients move faster with evidence, not guesswork.
